Midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, is poised to return to action for Leicester City when they face Watford on Saturday’s (today) in an English Championship game at the King Power Stadium, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
The 26-year-old had missed the Foxes’ last four games against Sunderland, Queens Park Rangers, Leeds United, and Middlesbrough with muscle injury since October but has returned to full fitness for the game against the Hornets as Leicester City aim to bounce back from consecutive defeats.
Speaking at his press conference on Friday, Leicester coach, Maresca said, “They are all working with us.
“Only Callum is out. The rest are all available for tomorrow (Saturday). Including Dennis. “(Praet) is a good player for sure. If you remember, in one of my press conferences, I said the ideal pocket player for us is Dennis. Now he’s back. We need to see how he is and hopefully, he can help us. Callum has started to run on the
pitch. But he’s still far. At least three weeks.”
Should Ndidi make an appearance in the encounter, it will be his 13th league game of the season and his 253rd game for the club.
The Nigerian has been linked with a move away from the King Power stadium with his current deal expiring next summer.
Sevilla and Barcelona are some of the top clubs eager to add the Nigerian to their ranks.
His compatriot, Kelechi Iheanacho is expected to play a part in the encounter as he bids to end his four-game run without a goal.
Iheanacho has made 16 league appearances scoring five goals with an assist.
Two straight 1-0 defeats to Leeds United and Middlesbrough has put a different spin on matters for the Foxes who have been caught up by second-placed Ipswich Town but Leicester City hold a superior goal difference of +4.
