By Daily Sports Nigeria on September 29, 2023

Super Falcons midfielder, Michelle Alozie, sparked talks about her sexuality after posting a picture of herself and and Houston Dash teammate Diana Ordonez with the inscription, “HAPPY US OVER THEM DAY to my husband” on Instagram.

The 26-year-old defender won the hearts of football-crazy Nigerians worldwide with her performance at the 2023 Women’s World Cup in Australia.

Reacting to Alozie’s post, Ibukun Aluko a journalist wrote, “To all the Nigerian men crushing on Super Falcons Michelle Alozie, here’s her Instagram post. Yes, she is happily married.”

@MiracleLazarus added, “With all these features she decided to settle down with a woman like herself. God is patient.”

An X user, @USO_Republic wrote, “Michelle Alozie has broken the hearts of millions of Nigerian men and I’m here for their tears but me too.”

Comedian Sabinus referred to the post as a sad one. He wrote, “Women dragging women with men. Signs of end time.”

Ace On Air Personality, Daddy Freeze, is hopeful Alozie will get a man on time.

He wrote, “I dey expect one correct guy for her soon”, while @Hypeman Morgan added, “Most of these female footballers can’t really cope with marriage. This lady looks masculine and muscular. So I’m not surprised where they end up at the end.”

After much discussion on social media, Alozie took to X to reassure her fans that she preferred men to women.

“I like guys. lol. relax. I promise you there are more important issues to discuss in the world than my sexuality. I never thought we would have to tell the world that we like guys.”

Alozie has gained attention from football fans for her talent and beauty, particularly after her involvement in an infamous incident with England star Lauren James during a World Cup match in Australia.
