Coach protests as Kaduna humiliates Delta 5-0 at NYG

By Daily Sports Nigeria on September 25, 2023

Head coach Delta football team at the National Youth Games Gordon Ogbe says they have protested the ages of Team Kaduna players after the northerners humiliated his side 5-0 in the boys football event on Sunday.

“We have already sent our protest to the appropriate quarters. The players of Team Kaduna are far older in age and bigger in size,” Ogbe said.

The coach claimed that Team Kaduna players did not undergo the normal screening of players following their late arrival to Asaba.

“Team Kaduna did not go through the rigorous screening exercises other states underwent. Team Delta was screened with the use of the National Identification Number and that left us with only 12 players against Team Kaduna’s 18 players who didn’t pass through the screening.

“Other states are also protesting against Team Kaduna players.”

Also, Team Lagos hammered Delta 5-0 in the women’s football event, in a game the hosts reportedly had just 12 players.
