Lagos Football Vacation Camp Day-3: Learning Continues On And Off The Field- Gafaar Liameed

The Vice Chairman, Lagos State Football Association, Gafaar Liameed has maintained that young players need to listen attentively as learning takes place both on and off the field.
"This is their formative years between age 10 and 15 (boys and girls) blending together, from indigent background, middle and high class that cut across every nook and cranny of the state"
He said, "It's about learning on and off the field and in every teaching environment there's a learning process".
Engaging them in a classroom session, Gafaar took the campers down the memory lane of the Nigeria's Football and the current most popular player's (male and female), their records and contributions to the country, which are Victor Osimhen and Asisat Oshoala. He also told them that Rasheed Yekini was the highest goal scorer in the history of Nigeria Football followed by Segun Odegbami with 37 and 23 respectively.
While lauding the concept under the leadership of able and indefatigable Chairman, Lagos State Football Association,Ogboni Fouad Oki, Gafaar restated that over 200 school-children were in camp improving their skills and how to manage their offices on 11 v 11, 8 v 8 , 5 v 5 ,3 v 3 and sometimes one on one situation.
He said the numerical strength will increase "between now and this time of next year,we will be doing if not 5000 very close to 5000".
The vacation football camp is ongoing at the Lagos State Senior Model College, Badore, Ajah.
