Transfer: Crystal Palace targets £12m bid for Iheanacho

By Goodness Ndukuba, Enugu on August 24, 2023

Crystal Palace are expected to open negotiations with Leicester City for Kelechi Iheanacho in the coming days.

According to reports, the London club will bid between £10m to £12m for the Nigeria international.

Leicester City are eager to offload Iheanacho, who has one-year remaining on his contract.

The forward will leave on a free transfer next summer if the Foxes can’t agree a deal with any club before the end of the current transfer window.

Iheanacho is also keen on leaving the King Power Stadium as he does not want to play in the Sky Bet Championship.

Crystal Palace consider him as a replacement for Jean-Philipe Mateta who is most likely to leave the club this summer.

Iheanacho joined Leicester City from Manchester City in 2018.
