Ilechukwu makes case for Ranger’s return to Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium

By Daily Sports Nigeria on July 26, 2023

Fidelis Ilechukwu has highlighted the importance of Rangers playing at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.

The newly appointed tactician opined that playing in front of home fans would encourage the players to achieve success.

Ilechukwu also pleaded with the state government to hasten up the renovation work on the ground ahead of the upcoming Nigeria Professional Football League season.

The Flying Antelopes adopted Awka City Stadium as their home ground for the 2022–23 NPFL season.

The league board failed to approve the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium following the uncompleted renovation works being carried out at the stadium.

“We are calling on the state government to help hasten the renovation work at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium to help the team play again in front of the home fans,” he begins in a chat with Rangers Media.

“Having the fans around to watch the team is important to me. The Rangers fans are the twelfth man as they continue to push the team to greatness.”
