Onyekuru linked with Valencia, Dortmund

By Daily Sports on January 3, 2019

Nigerian forward Henry Onyekuru has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Valencia and Borussia Dortmund.

The 21-year-old Super Eagles star is currently on loan at Turkish Super Lig side Galatasaray from parent club Everton of the Premier League.

However, reports that Gala are set to move for Tottenham Hotspur striker Fernando Llorente have sparked speculation that Onyekuru could leave Istanbul in the January transfer window – despite making a good impression with the Turkish giants this season.

According to reports in the Nigerian media, the former KAS Eupen player will have no shortage of options.

Spanish La Liga side Valencia look set to lose Belgian striker Michy Batshuayi (who is on loan from Chelsea) this month and are hoping to replace him with Onyekuru.

The Nigerian is also said to be on the wanted list of German Bundesliga title hopefuls Borussia Dortmund, who are hoping to boost their squad as they balance domestic and Champions League commitments.

Onyekuru’s loan spell at Gala is set to run until the end of the season, but other moves in the market may see it cut short.

The Nigerian has performed well in the Super Lig this term, with six goals from his 15 appearances. (African Football)
