Rolly Fc has emerged overall winner from the Edo state Last Team Standing trials alongside Genesis Queens who won the female category.
The emergence of Rolly FC was with great determination and dedicated spirit from a rigorous round robbin games that produced them as winners through points, with 4 points and +2 Goals advantage over Rockers Fc who also have same 4points with +1goal to come second.
The Edo state LTS trials which had over 342 Male players and 28 female participants in the maiden edition of the Last Team Standing Football Scouting Reality Show held for 3 days from the 6th to 8th of July 2023.
The LTS trials which held at the prestigious University of Benin Teaching Hospital pitch 3 had both male and female players coming together to fight for the last slot to represent the state. Other individual players who really showcased themselves and proved to be worthy talent where also picked to complete the 28 players to be picked in a state.
The Edo State Last Team Standing trials witnessed the touch of female players also showing interest in going into the house of the football Reality show come September/October with 28 players from two different female academy Rolly Angels and Genesis Queens.
It was a different twist entirely with the female team who experience a different feel as Genesis Queens defeated Rolly Angels 2 goals to nil with an overall outstanding performance from Asemota Anita from Genesis Queens who dazzled the watching crowd with her performance and style of team play to help her side score the two goals in an entertaining version.
The last Team standing trials enjoys the support of the Edo State Referee Association and the Paramedics of the Ancient Citadel.of knowledge UBTH in attendance.
Dignitaries in attendance on the final day of the Last Team Standing Trials in Edo State such as Monday Eguaveon an ex international and also the elder brohter to the Nigerian Football Federation Technical head Austin Eguaveon populary known as Cerezo.
Others are Nigeria ex- under 17 player Karimu Shuaibu who was thrilled with the organisation of the Last Team Standing trials can’t wait to see the worthy Edo Ambassadors emerge the last team standing winners in the National Football Reality Show to raise the standard that Edo State is a football loving State.
The Last Team Standing train will be stopping in Delta State from the 12th of July 2023 to find the team that will be representing the state in the final showcase that will be coming up in September/ October.
