Obi dedicates Heartland’s NPL promotion to club supporters

Heartland coach Christian Obi has dedicated the team’s s Nigeria Premier League promotion to the supporters.

The Naze Millionaires secured their top-flight return after a 2-1 win against Sporting Lagos on Wednesday.

Obi stated that the players showed determination in achieving the feat after their shaky start in the playoffs.

“This promotion is for the Heartland supporters,” a happy Obi told DAILY POST in Asaba.

“We had a shaky start to the tournament but is a good thing we came back stronger.

“The players are determined to get the promotion ticket and that’s what they showed with the victory against Sporting Lagos.”

Heartland will face Kano Pillars on Friday to determine the 2023 Nigeria National League champions.
