Rangers International of Enugu will provide the lion’s share of officials of the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) All Stars team that will travel to Spain for a playing tour in August.

Rangers Coach Amapakabo Imama and Team Manager, Amobi Ezeaku will lead the NPFL All Stars along with Wikki Tourist Coach Abdu Maikaba Faggae and Ikorodu United goalkeeper trainer, Ike Shorunmu.

In a letter signed by the COO of the League Management Company, Salihu Abubakar, the officials have been requested to report at the All-Stars Team Camp, at the Bolton White Apartment in Abuja for training, before departing to Spain for the tour. The letter, however, made it clear that during the training session (in Abuja), the team officials would still be released to participate in their respective club matches.

Contacted, Barrister Amobi, who writes the Sports Law Column that appears in Daily Sports on Saturdays, confirmed receiving his letter of appointment from the League Management Company (LMC). “I thank the NFF and LMC for considering me as the youngest team manager in history,” Amobi said, adding: “I am looking forward to the Spain trip with optimism, convinced that it will add immense value to the Nigerian League.”
