Enyimba have embarked on a week-long break after an energy-sapping campaign.
The nine-time Nigeria Premier League champions’ gaffer, Finidi George, disclosed to DAILY POST that it is important for his players to regain their energy.
The former Super Eagles midfielder is optimistic that the break will help improve the performance of his players.
“My players are yearning for rest after a hectic Nigeria Premier League season,” he told DAILY POST in Eket.
“The break has been imminent, but because of the Naija Super Eight playoffs, the players had to stay put. A week break is something for the players to refuel them for the task ahead.”
Enyimba will compete in the Naija Super 8 tournament in Lagos from July 7 to 16.
