The President of Real Sapphire Football Academy, Frank Peters, has disclosed that foreign football clubs have indicated interest in his players to lace their boots for them and the process is on between them and his academy.
According to the proprietor and philanthropist, some clubs in Europe have penciled down some of his lads they want and talks are ongoing. He however, declined to disclose the names of the various clubs but promised to make them known in due course.
“The facts are there; truly the players are fantastic ball jugglers, which must have informed these foreign FC’s insistence to have them. I have no doubt they will sign them up. The players are hungry for success and their readiness in this game remains total. These foreign clubs have seen the great potentials in them hence they sustained the interest to sign the boys’ to lace their boots for them. Their performances have been upbeat by each passing day. In short, they are in dazzling form. The Academy is working hard to maintain high standard and train these lads to easily fit into schedules of any team. It is instructive to note that discipline has been at the optimum and it is strictly applied. The boys have been doing well to obey camp rules and training schedules,” Frank Peters further disclosed.
Peters also added that even the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) clubs have expressed interest in the academy players. He said: “We are being careful to ensure that our players’ don’t fall into wrong hands. Foremost their welfare would be promptly guaranteed not to be compromised in any way. We will be ready to talk with any club we assess and deem fit to meet the essential needs of the players they want.
“Let me reassure you that inasmuch as we may be ready to release our players to NPFL clubs, nothing would be left for chance in terms of their adequate upkeep that would serve as leeway to assist make their football careers a flourishing one. I will continue to say it loud and clear to those that care to listen that it won’t be business as usual, what is important to us in Real Sapphire Football Academy is how these boys would realise and fulfill their dreams and God given talents in their chosen career more than anything else. That is where our interest lies most.”
Daily Sports reports that the Academy has already contributed a player in person of Saturday Ekejo to the U-23 Eagles team preparing for Rio 2016 Olympics Games.
