Pereira told to focus on Adesanya rematch

By Daily Sports Nigeria on February 26, 2023

Newly crowned UFC light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill advised Alex Pereira to focus on preparing for his title rematch against Israel Adesanya instead of pursuing the 205-pound light heavyweight belt.

Fresh off his impressive victory and championship win in the light heavyweight division at UFC 283, Jamahal Hill radiated confidence as he delivered a stern warning to the reigning middleweight champion Pereira.

Hill urged Pereira to concentrate all his efforts on his upcoming rematch with Adesanya at UFC 287 instead of entertaining thoughts on future matchups.

“I think Alex Pereira should really focus on Izzy (Adesanya) because he was getting his a** whooped for a good majority of that fight last time before he won,” Hill said.

The UFC middleweight title will be on the line in the main event of UFC 287 on April 8 when champion Pereira battles former titleholder Adesanya.
