The Minister of Sports, Mr Solomon Dalung, has appealed to Governor Tanko Al-Makura to work towards the development of sports in Nasarawa State.

Mr Dalung made the call on Friday when he visited Governor Al-Makura at the Government House in Lafia, the state capital in north-central Nigeria.

He commended the Governor for the developmental strides evident across the state and urged him to do more.

Mr Al-Makura who was appreciative of the visit promised to support the Federal Ministry of Sports by promoting sports in the state with a distinct view of minimising youth restiveness.

At the end of the visit, the Governor and the Minister visited the ongoing Lafia Township Stadium to ascertain the level of work. (Channelstv, com)
