Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho was the best performer of all the Nigerian players that featured in the Premier League on Saturday, as he got a goal and an assist for Leicester City in their 4-1 thrashing of Tottenham Hotspur.
Having netted in his last two previous games for the Foxes, the 27 year old was again the cynosure of all eyes at King Power stadium when he extended the lead to 3-1 before the break.
Before the goal, he was applauded for creating an assist for James Maddison whose 25th minutes strike saw coach Brendan Rodgers side maintain the lead .
Spurs performance was unable to produce any sort of response in the second half, and ten minutes after having a goal ruled out Harvey Barnes wrapped up a commanding victory by scoring Leicester’s fourth.
Recording 77 minutes of action, the dazzler was replaced by Jamie Vardy who showed class enjoying few minutes of action.
With 22 matches played, the huge scoreline saw the Foxes maintained 13th on the log with 24 points. The erstwhile Man City goal poacher will be aiming for more in his next duel away to Manchester United.
