Atalanta forward, Ademola Lookman, has hailed Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen as an exceptional player with incredible skill, Saturday PUNCH reports.
The 25-year-old told local newspaper in Bergamo, L’Eco di Bergamo that his Super Eagles teammate has demonstrated how good he has been with his performance since he moved to the Serie A in September 2020.
Lookman is also not losing sleep in the battle for the league’s top scorer award with Osimhen.
“I have an objective in mind, but I don’t want to be affected by it. In reality, I prefer to take it game by game.
“I have never paid attention to records. Victor Osimhen is my rival in the scoring chart, and I don’t know who will come out on top.
“He’s an exceptional player with incredible skills. Everybody can see what kind of champion he is.”
Lookman has scored 12 times in 20 games in his first season in the Serie A and he is four goals behind Osimhen in the Capocannoniere race.
The former Leicester City star will be keen to end his goalscoring drought against Lazio on Saturday (today) at the Stadio Olimpico after firing blanks against Sassuolo seven days ago.
It was the first time in his last four games he has not scored.
