Seria A side Torino have confirmed the return of Nigerian defender Ola Aina to training with the first team for the first time since October 2022 when he picked up an injury.
The Nigeria international last played for the Turin side in their Serie A match against Udinese, where he suffered a Biceps femoris muscle injury.
The versatile 26-year-old Super Eagles defender, who can play on both flanks and also in central defence, has not featured in eight Serie A matches, but the club has given him a clean bill of health to return to action and could play against Empoli on Saturday.
The former Chelsea youth player was pictured in training, with the club saying on on their official Twitter handle , “a back.”
Aina has made 11 appearances and scored one goal in all competitions this season, before the injury in October.
The former Chelsea defender’s future at the club remains uncertain with his contract due to expire at the end of the season.
