Aboderin promises fireworks at ‘Rumble at the Park’

By Daily Sports Nigeria on January 20, 2023

Secretary General of the Nigeria Boxing Board of Control and the president of West Africa Boxing Union, Remi Aboderin, is excited about the upcoming ‘Rumble at the Park’ event set to take place on January 28 at the Freedom Park in Lagos.

Aboderin said that the fights would thrill the audience present at the event organised by the Lasigidi Boxing Initiative.

“It’s going to be a competitive pro-boxing affair, the audience should expect fireworks to fly across the ring, it is going to be a lovely evening for boxing lovers,” Aboderin told The PUNCH.

“The event is all about pro boxing and will give the boxers an opportunity to express themselves through the work they do which is boxing. All these boxers that are going to box on the 28th of January are all licensed professional boxers who have gone through the ranks and are now established boxers who will excite the crowd,” he told The PUNCH.

Sanctioned by the NBBC, the Rumble at the Park will kick off at 4pm on Saturday, January 28. The prices for the regular tickets are N1,000 each, while the ringside tickets cost N5,000 and a table is priced at N150,000.
