Following speculations surrounding Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen away from Napoli, Italian pundit Fabio Santini claims that it will cost any potential club €120m to sign the Nigeria striker.
Speaking to Italian publication Il Mattino recently, the Nigeria striker recently suggested that he may leave Napoli in the summer, amidst interest from Manchester United, and other several clubs in England.
“Osimhen? According to my information, whoever wants the blue center forward will have to pay a very important sum to snatch him from De Laurentiis’ Naples. The blue club has set a very high price. “ Victor’s quotation is around €100m.” Santini said as reported by Area Napoli,
Napoli rejected a €100m bid from Newcastle in January 2021, but the Magpies are still interested in the Nigeria international and the same is true of Manchester United and Arsenal.
The 23-year-old Nigeria goal poacher has scored 38 goals in 76 appearances with the Parthenopeans since 2020.
Despite missing several games due to injury, Osimhen has been fantastic for the Partenopeans this season and has established himself as a prolific centre-forward, registering ten goals, and three assists in 14 appearances in all competitions this season.
The former Lille star joined Serie A leaders in a €75m deal in 2020 and has scored 10 goals in 14 appearances across all competitions this season and his contract expires in June 2025.
Naples are the only unbeaten team in Serie A, having won 13 games, draw two games and top the table with 41 points. They resume the season on January 4 in a key away game at Inter.
