Man Utd Suffers Setback In Osimhen’s Pursuit

By Daily Sports Nigeria on November 25, 2022

Premier League powerhouse Manchester United have reportedly suffered a setback in their pursuit of Nigeria and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.

The Red Devils who recently parted ways with Cristiano Ronaldo are in search of a new forward and want to sign him during the January transfer window.

Transfer market  expert Fabrizio Romano in a chat with GIVEMESPORT explained that the Italian Serie A League leaders will not entertain any offer that requires Osimhen to leave the club in January 2023.

”Victor Osimhen is not going to be available in January because Napoli want to continue with him as their star at least until the end of the season,” Romano said.

”Also, many other players rumored will not be available, so it’s going to be difficult to find the right player.”

Romano’s statement shows that Napoli will only part ways with Osimhen on two conditions; the price tag of £87 million must be met and he will be allowed to leave after the conclusion of the 2022/2023 football season.

The Super Eagles star has scored ten goals and assisted three across all competitions this season.

Osimhen’s contract with Napoli will expire at the end of the 2024-2025 season.
