Bayern Ready To Pay £87.5m For Kane

By Daily Sports Nigeria on October 14, 2022

Bayern Munich is reportedly prepared to spend more than €100m (£87.5m) on Harry Kane during next summer’s transfer window.

The Bundesliga champion is expected to be in the market for a new centre-forward in 2023, having not signed a replacement for Robert Lewandowski following his switch to Barcelona.

Kane is believed to have been identified by Bayern as their leading target, with his contract at Tottenham Hotspur due to expire in the summer of 2024.

According to TZ, the England captain is wanted by senior figures at Allianz Arena, and the club would be prepared to pay in excess of €100m (£87.5m) to bring him to Munich.

Uli Hoeness, who is the honorary president of Bayern, detailed the team’s need for a new forward following last weekend’s 2-2 draw with Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga.

Kane was questioned on a possible move to Bayern ahead of Tottenham’s Champions League clash with Eintracht Frankfurt, and be branded the German giants “a top, top club”.

Kane scored 27 goals and registered 10 assists in 50 outings for Tottenham in all competitions last season, while he has started this campaign with eight goals and one assist in 12 appearances.

All eight of the striker’s goals this term have come in the Premier League, with the England captain yet to find the back of the net in three Champions League outings.

Manchester City was heavily linked with Kane in the summer of 2021, but the Citizens ultimately dropped their interest after reportedly being quoted in the region of £150m.
