Nigeria’s Super Falcons have secured the ticket to the semi-finals of the on-going Women Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco after a 1-0 win over Cameroon in a quarter-final fixture played in Casablanca on Thursday.
The victory over the Indomitable Lionesses at the for Stade Mohamed V Stadium means the Super Falcons – Africa’s most successful national team of all-time – are through to next year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup to be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand.
Rashidat Ajibade scrored the only goal in the 58th minute into the game.
