Of truth is that many important national issues are currently trending especially as it concerns the country’s flagship team, the Super Eagles especially after her unceremonious exit from the just concluded Africa Cup of Nations football festival held in Cameroon, where the Lions from the Terenga  won the trophy for the first time after many attempts.
In 33rd edition, the Senegalese national side won the hard fought game against equally desperate Pharaohs from Egypt via penalty shoot out 4-2. It was well deserved victory for Senegal that put their all despite that regulation penalty missed by the engine room player Mane.
I digress. Read more on news reports and features that will follow in Daily Sports subsequently.
There has been apprehension on the future of the team ranging from how to get the boys together again in one high spirit and accord. How to hire a head coach for the side to oversee proceedings’ in the forthcoming Qatar 2022 World Cup play-off against arch –rival Ghana come March 23 first leg in Accra and second leg five days later in Abuja.
As these were ranging and many speculations climbing over themselves in the public space, other issues cropped up like the said or purported prophecy; by the General Overseer of NRI Evangelical Church Primate Ayodele that Nigeria will lose the March football match against Ghana.
Since that came to public domain, the calm kingdom Prophet has been under intense fire from football fans, analysts’ bookmakers’ pundits and even other enthusiasts of the beautiful game.
I read the said interview from Primate and did not think anything negative about it but passively said this is a warning shot for Nigeria Football Federation to sit up and put her house in order. The comment by Primate Ayodele continued to attract crowd and different shields of comments, not until the now head coach of the Super Eagles, Austin Eguaveon granted an interview on it which this portal Daily Sports published then I started coming to terms with even the urge from the numerous readers of this columnist for me to do a sterling piece on it.
To be honest with you, when I finally decided to, then Eguaveon’s interview came. However, for the records Primate Ayodele I will not agreed with many that called him names including that of a Prophet of doom. I have read most of his Prophecies’ in the past and in the media and most have come to pass.
In as much as I am not holding any brief for the Man of God, I dare say that the hue and cry on the said harmless prophecy remains uncalled for. It showed how unoccupied people are. I won’t loose sight that football has large followership but the way and manner the reactions are pouring in leaves soured taste in the mouth .And I kept wondering where decency has gone to. Where respect for constituted bodies have flown to. I am scandalized.
It remains way not to travel on an honest leeway by a renowned Servant of God who does not talk on drop of hat except what His God directs. He is also not some of these men that speak from both sides of their mouth too. This is yet another typical case of a Prophet not being recongised in his home base.
Primate Ayodele is one man of God that has diligently carried out his mandate without any let or hindrance allowing God’s will to be done. He is not one of the numerous flamboyant preachers of our present time. I learnt his lives for the poor and less privileged amongst us. Let me make it absolutely clear here that I am not holding any kind of brief for this Prophet of God (Primate Ayodele). What is being written on this page is absolutely independent and never in his defence as he did not do any wrong to necessitate such any ways.
He remains one man that has never joins issues with anyone. He faces his calling and does same to only the detects of his creature that called him to his present day duty. As I have verbally told many that sort my opinion on this now national discourse on Primate Ayodele Prophecy, I candidly told them in unmistakable terms that it was all about telling the stakeholders and handlers of the team including the players to wake up from their slumber, eyes on the ball and work assiduously in order to achieve Nigeria’s collective aim of beating Ghana to it enroute Qatar 2022 World Cup summit in November.
I refused bluntly to admit that it was a prophecy of doom. It remains an alarm bell tolling and anyone that has ears let him hear. Those that knew how God works will never engage in this idol part time of calling Primate Ayodele names.
Nigeria must work hard to ensure that it put her home in order and face Ghana squarely; the prophecy further implies Nigeria must be ready as twice against Ghana too, otherwise, otherwise. If you critically look at it, even the Prophets’ in the scriptures how God related with were not different from what Prophet Ayodele just let the country’s national side going into a football assignment of that high attitude to know.
To before warn is to before arm. The Primate is suave, disarmingly unassuming and cerebral too. We must handle his utterances with honour and be very cautious of what are being said about him.
He is doing his work as assigned to him by his creature that called him to service. I must point to here that of truth is that no side effects comment has come from the high command of the apex football governing body in the country saying anything derogatory against the said Prophecy revealed to Primate Ayodele.
To say the very least it is the way to go instead of making noise via the social media. It the way to go to put heads together to ensure the house is put in order. It is the essence of the Prophecy. It is never a prophecy of doom as being flown about by mostly those I do refer to as people that don’t have any meaningful work doing.
I am once again saying what I won’t subscribe about Primate Ayodele is being fake Prophet as being peddled. He is a wonderful Servant of God who does his legitimate job from God. I am glad on Austin Eguaveon’s reaction to the Seer’s prophecy. The way and manner clam coach reacted to it gave one glimmer of hope and the fact that there will be light at the end of the tunnel. It was matured and apt too.
The prophecy by Primate Ayodele to me is to put Nigerian team on her toes and it remains the best to follow people God loves. There should be no fighting a prophet of God in any manner or form because of the dare consequences.
Glad to note that NFF has confirmed the appointment of Austin Eguaveon as the head coach of the Super Eagles and Emmanuel Amuneke as his assistant.  The work is ongoing and now that these have been done other things that will steady the team will follow. Nigeria will be on course and battle ready for the epic World Cup 2022 play-off against Ghana who reports also said has settled for former Newcastle United of England Manager, Chris Houghton as one to lead the Black Stars against the Super Eagles in March stand- off cracker and will be assisted by Otto Addo who assistant at German’s Bundeliga club Bourassa Dortmund. Recall that Ghana will host Nigeria March 23, while the return leg comes five days after in Abuja where the overall winner will join the rest of the World bests for the finals of the World Cup in November 2022.
It is kudos to Primate Ayodele and his instructive saying about Nigeria and her national team, Super Eagles. In short, forward with the Prophet.
