The Victor Ikpeba Football Challenge Warri 2021 has reached the quarter-final stage after a total of eight matches played on the opening day of the competition for U-17 male players in Warri, Delta State.
After the first round of matches by the16 teams, a total of 33 goals were scored, with Ime Ekemini of Golden Albion FC of Warri scoring the first hat-trick of the competition, while Sarjumi Moses of Orion FC grabbed the first goal of the competition.
The quarter-finals will be played on Saturday (today), while the grand finale holds on Sunday.
The eventual champions will go home with N150,000, second place N100,000, third place N70,000 and fourth place N50,000. (Punch)
