Kessie Eyeing Move To The Premier League

By Daily Sports on October 1, 2021

AC Milan and Ivory Coast international midfielder Franck Kessie is reportedly keen to move to the Premier League at the end of the 2021-22 season.

The 24-year-old will be out of contract in the next European summer, and has thus far shown no intention of renewing his contract with the Rossoneri.

Kessie can begin talking to clubs about a pre-contract in January, and 90Min suggests that the Premier League will be his destination of choice.

The Elephants’ talisman believes the style of play in the league suits his qualities, while the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Liverpool are all monitoring his situation.

Milan, however, are still hopeful that Kessie will renew his contract, with manager Stefano Pioli saying as much to the media last week.

“I would like Kessie to sign, it is a situation that concerns the club and its agent more,” Pioli is quoted by Sempre Milan.

“When there is a negotiation it goes on for a long time, it is normal that this is the case.

“With Franck, we talk about the pitch and I see him motivated, calm and positive. At the moment there are no problems.”

Kessie was harshly sent off in AC Milan’s 2-1 defeat at the hands of Atletico Madrid in a UEFA Champions League match on Tuesday night, and will be eager to make amends when the Rossoneri face Atalanta in a Serie A clash on Sunday 3 October. (African Football)
