RICH PROFILE OF CURRENT LAGOS SWAN CHAIRPERSON, OLATUTU OLADUNNI

Olatutu Oladunni is a Media Consultant, Journalist, Diplomatic Protocol Professional, Public Speaker and Creative writer, highly versatile and creative a media consultant, with journalism experience in major fields like Politics, Security, Sports, Aviation and Marketing.

In the course of her journalism career, she oftentimes work in the newsroom, reporting and coverage of several beats like politics, health, culture, education etc, she has covered several events like general elections and also worked as part of campaign teams of some notable politicians at both state and federal level using her experience to develop a deep thinking strategies on media to advocate the relevance of the personality i.e the Brand, by introducing the following

Project Background for Campaign,Target Audience, communication strategy, Campaign vision, Legacy Road map etc, during Campaign (pre-election) and post election. A few notable State Governors, have benefitted immensely from this.

She is a Certified Associate Member of Diplomatic Protocol Professionals serving in the communication department, An Association made up of over 500 members and over 200 career Ambassadors across the world alongside protocol expert to various reputable institutions government institutions and private personalities . She has attended different Protocol trainings, and workshops.

As part of her journalism career experience, she is also a security reporter ,a member of the media team that worked with Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Zone Xi, who later became Deputy Inspector General of Police, DIG Research Planning in Force Hq ,

which covers three western states then, Oyo, Ondo, Osun state respectively. With the constant security reportage of illegal activities across southwest region, she was part of the Media Team that worked with The AIG to birth Zone Xi Security Stakeholders Forum headed by The Southern Governors, which was later transformed to South West Security Forum and later called the emergence of South West special security outfit now officially called Amotekun after several deliberations from the southern Governors and critical stakeholders in the region.

Amidst that, she is an Aviation Correspondent, having held several personality interviews with accomplished Aviation legends, Aviation chiefs Administrators and ICON like Chairman Sabre West Africa, MD FAAN, MD/CEO Airpeace Ltd, Secretary Aviation Roundtable, etc.

She is also a sport journalist and a Sports journalist with almist ten years experience. In year 2014, she was got her first international accreditation in sports to cover the 2014 edition of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow Scotland, where she did not only played her role as a sporting press, but was also privileged to be one of the protocol team of The former Head of State, Gen Yakubu Gowon who represented President Jonathan at the Commonwealth Games.

A task that was given to her via the then Secretary General of Nigeria Olympic Committee, Tunde Popoola. In 2018, she again got her media accreditation to cover the 2018 edition of the Commonwealth in Queensland Australia. Within the shore of Africa, she was accredited to cover the All African Games in Morocco in 2018.

On 11th February, 2022, the National Body of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria SWAN, Lagos State Chapter, officially inaugurated Olatutu Oladunni as the Secretary Executive Caretaker Committee ,Lagos SWAN. A team comprising of 3 man Committee where she served as the Secretary alongside Executive team by the National Executive Council of SWAN.

Olatutu has worked in various media outfit, she began the early days of her career with MiTv/Starfm, where she worked in Radio News as a reporter in Newsroom and later moved to Continental Broadcasting Service TVC/Radio Continental, for her training she worked under Charles Kalu the Head and Manager of News, and Babatunde Pratt and Tola Ademola as the Editors where she worked in the Newsroom and Current Affairs department as a reporter.

She later proceeded to FRCN Training School, GRA, Lagos for her professional Training Certification, in Journalism, Presentation and Creative Writing to advance her professional career in journalism. During her training, she was elected the Deputy Class Governor twice for both journalism class and presentation class, hereby making her the only female to hold that position in two different professional field in the history of the FRCN Training School and she was honoured with an Award for her outstanding Performance and excellent leadership as the Deputy Class Governor.

After her training, she got employed in Galaxy TV Lagos, as a reporter in Newsroom ,later the president of the Television Station requested she is transferred to sports desk to work with the head of Sports desk .there, she began her sporting career and co-hosted a sports show called Sports Edge for a few period and also cast sports news. Having served in different professional fields as an independent journalist, she resigned voluntarily from Galaxy TV and eventually decided to set up her own media outfit.

She is the Managing Director of Carolkings Media Ltd. A media communication company she established some years back, legitimately registered with Corporate Affairs Commission , CAC, under the Companies and Allied Matters Act of 1990.

The aim is to heighten Africa's Media ecosystem to a more standard level via productive innovations that will sustain its relevance in the international community and also ensure an utmost qualified service delivery is given to boost brand loyalty and confidence among customers.

The media organisation render services in the following areas , Media Consulting/ Media coverage, corporate communications, Broadcast production, Diplomatic Protocol Consulting and Training, Events Coverage, Website development, Marketing and General Merchandise.

The media outfit has an online news platform dailynewspost.com.ng, Carolkings magazine where news worthy stories innovative contents are published and its been run by experienced and certified journalists. In the course of time, she has had several personality interviews amongst them are ,His Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, president Aviation Round Table, State Governors , Ministers MD Airpeace Ltd , Deputy Inspector General of Police, Deputy Governors, Speakers House of Assembly , His Majesty Kabiesi Obateru Akinruntan OBAT, Diplomats , Career Ambassadors, etc. She is a media consultant to some reputable personalities and organisations and NGO.

She is a graduate of Communication and Language Arts, Faculty of Arts, University of Ibadan. A member of Association of Sporting Personnel, Zurich Switzerland, A Member of Association of Diplomatic protocol professionals, A member of Aviation Round Table Media. A member of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN etc.

She also has a certificate of Participation in an Olympic for solidarity programme organised by Nigeria Olympic Committee. NOC.

The professional aside, she is also a business oriented person, where she majors in special wines and liquor supply to reputable personalities, institutions and exotic corporate events. As one of her long time vision to reach out to the society, In year 2020 during Covid pandemics, Olatutu established a grocery store called Carolkings Supermarket, where she sells luxury items wines and liquor, Gift items , consumables and homewares.

She loves creative and profitable innovations, loves culture, networking, traveling and meeting people, she enjoys writing, marketing, reading to know history and learn more on new inventions and also love to watch and discuss sports, and also intellectual discussions with creative minds. She loves to cook and sometimes love to express herself in words.

The Ondo state born and mother of One, was honoured in August 2022, by SPORTS CENTER Group, Lagos for her commendable contribution towards sports growth .

In September 2022, Olatutu was one of the special recipient of the National Media Community Award where she was honoured for her outstanding Performance and Laudable contributions towards sports growth.

Currently the Executive Chairperson of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria SWAN, Lagos State chapter.
