Barcelona Board Want Koeman Sacked

By Daily Sports on September 18, 2021

Barcelona board members are urging president Joan Laporta to sack coach Ronald Koeman – immediately.

Both AS and TV3 are reporting at a board meeting on Thursday that Laporta was urged by several members of the board to fire Koeman after this week’s Champions League defeat. Barca are reeling after their home thumping by Bayern Munich.

The board at Barca has 18 members and it’s suggested those calling for Koeman’s dismissal have little experience in football.

For his part, Laporta refused the demand, even if he is losing confidence in Koeman.

Barca would need to pay out the remaining months of the coach’s contract and also has no immediate replacement lined-up. (Tribal Football)
