Liverpool To Deal With Salah And Mane Absence — Klopp

By Daily Sports on September 14, 2021

Liverpool FC will find a way to cope without Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane in January 2022 according to the club’s manager Jurgen Klopp.

Salah and Mane are set to represent Egypt and Senegal respectively at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations finals to be held in Cameroon from January 9 to February 6, 2022.

They are key players for the Reds as they look to go all the way and clinch this season’s Premier League title.

“We knew it, [Salah and Mane’s absences], we have to deal with it and we will deal with it,” Klopp said on Team Talk.

“How? We will see in January. People now say we have to sign two strikers with the same quality of Sadio and Mo.

“That cannot be a solution as we cannot do that, so we have to find a solution for that in January.”

Both players scored in Liverpool’s 3-0 win over Leeds United in a league encounter which was played at Elland Road on Sunday.

Salah is close to equalling Ivorian legend Didier Drogba’s scoring record after scoring his 100th Premier League goal.

Drogba, who had two spells with English giants Chelsea, is currently Africa’s highest goalscorer in the English top-flight with 104 goals.

While Mane surpassed former Everton striker Yakubu Ayegbeni’s tally with his 97th Premier League goal, to go level with Emmanuel Adebayor of Togo.

Liverpool will take on Italian giants AC Milan in the UEFA Champions League game on Wednesday, before they face Crystal Palace in a Premier League game on Saturday. (African Football)
