Barcelona And Umtiti Agree He Must Leave

By Daily sports on August 2, 2021

Samuel Umtiti has accepted Barcelona finding him a new club.

Sport says Barca are convinced they will find a new home for the centre-back, although it’s not proving easy.

Umtiti has given the green light to going on loan, but has certain conditions which make it tough. The Frenchman wants to choose his destination and aspires to join a club in the Champions League or fighting for silverware.

For now, that option has not arrived and he's turned down offers Barça would have accepted.

Barça are working away calmly on Umtiti's future. So far, they have managed to overcome his reluctance to leave the club, something they didn't achieve last summer. He understands he won't get minutes at Camp Nou, so the best option is to find football elsewhere to get back to his best. From there, the club have been looking for suitors. (Tribal Football)
