English Premiership side Watford are preparing a bid for Nigerian under-23 striker Isaac Success, Daily Sports can report this morning.
Sources close to Success told Daily Sports that the burly attacker, who is currently contracted to Spanish La Liga club Granada, would be brought in by Watford to replace another Nigeria Odion Ighalo, who had an impressive debut season for the club in the Premiership and who is said to be on the radar of London top side Chelsea.
Ighalo was Watford’s top scorer in the just-ended season with 15 goals.
It was reported that prior to the start of last season, Watford had made moves to sign Success but the deal fell through. This time they will hope to get their target.
Meanwhile, Isaac Success is in Nigeria for his end-of-season holiday. However, he took time out to feature with his former club, BJ Foundation of Benin City, in a friendly match against Dynamite Force FC, who are representing Edo State in the forthcoming Federation Cup competition.
Success was substituted in the first half after what is thought to be a slight knock.
Granada named Isaac Success their player of the season some weeks ago. The club narrowly escaped relegation in the just-ended season.
