Sterling Furious With Man City Over Spurs Negotiations

By Daily sports on June 27, 2021

Raheem Sterling is considering his future at Manchester City over management’s actions this summer.

The Mirror says City could have scuppered their bid to convince Sterling to sign a new contract by offering England's Euro star as a makeweight for Harry Kane.

Sterling, 26, was open to talks about an extended deal at the Etihad – despite becoming frustrated by his lack of game-time under Pep Guardiola towards the end of the season.

But the winger is angry with City’s attempts to offer him to Tottenham in part-exchange for Kane in a deal that would meet the London club’s £100million-plus valuation of the England captain.

The Premier League champions have included Sterling on a list of players they would be willing to include in a bid to take Kane to the Etihad.

But Spurs have remained steadfast in their stance that their striker will not be a replacement for Sergio Aguero.

Sterling has two years left on his current £300,000-a-week contract in Manchester. (Tribal Football)
