Stanley Eguma’s Kidnap And The Signals That Will Paint Us In Bad Light

By Daily sports on June 21, 2021

Nigeria is on the verge of final collapse sadly the likes of Garba Shehu are hell bent on fanning the embers of her total laying to rest. To Shehu and his fellow undertakers of Nigerian nation, it is either other regions that made up what is Nigeria agree to their (Fulani’s) wills or caprices Nigeria and Nigerians would have no rest.

Nigeria is burning today and the pretenders are caring less about but bent on having their pound of flesh off the already bastardised Nigeria. The fact is that nothing is moving accordingly in the country today since Fulani invaded Nigeria in their collective and spirited quest to take over Nigeria and forcefully turn her into Muslim nation by all means hook or crook.

That is what has paralysed Nigeria today as the killing spree that has become the order of the day persists and Buhari and his Fulani bigots are turning blind eyes and rarely issuing make shift statements just for the fun of it as Fulanis from all over the World are having field day killing their defenseless victims mostly from the Southern Nigeria especially the South East where Buhari and his wicked cohorts have vowed to eliminate from the surface of this planet earth.

While Nigeria is supposed to be enjoying her peaceful atmosphere Garba Shehu’s Fulanis in whatever name are busy terrorizing unsuspecting citizens.

What Buhari and his extremist Muslim jihadists imported into the country due largely to the quest for power run up to 2015 general elections where Buhari was all out to grab power by all means.

Right now what is happening in Nigeria today has spilled all facets of the country and Buhari inept leadership of country has brought everything on its knees yet to Buhari, Garba Shehu, Malami, El-Rufai, etc, nothing wrong is happening.

No sector is spared. Last week the head Coach of Rivers United FC, Stanley Eguma was kidnapped on his way from Nigeria Professional Football League with one of the NPFL clubs in the often problematic in all its ramifications Northern region. The seasoned sweat merchant though has long been released after spending three days in their den must have sad stories to tell.

Needless to say that money changed hands before he was left off the hook. The bandits as they have been tagged by Buhari’s government have taken over and also have upper hand. Who is fooling who and for how long will we continue to hear these tales as being told by these idiots in governance today.

Sports are in danger. The only chain that has held this sharply divided country together thus far. The kidnap of Stanley Eguma is an alarm bell tolling for the rest of NPFL coaches and top management official and soon the players would join the train.

This yet another dangerous trend that must be nipped in the bud. It one silly step that is bound to snuff life off the country that has been on life support all these while.

Buhari should tell his boys in clearer and unmistaken terms that this new part time to beam their searchlight on sports, her officials and players remains an unproductive venture of the first order.

Buhari’s being their Patron before he came to power now has great sympathy for these bloody idiots. It is wrong for these bad boys to disturb our football and other sports in the country that keep us happy and encourages up to turn blind eyes on the country this APC government has ravaged the citizenry on all front.

Kidnapping football coaches, players and management.  Garba Shehu should be told that this violence and bloodletting in the Nigeria have been one too many to continue.

Nigerians are tired of these nonsense and senseless way of living in Nigeria that does not belong to Buhari’s Fulanis alone.

The avoidable kidnap of Eguma the technical hand of Rivers United FC called for sober reflection by all civilised minds and such must stop. As a matter of fact this one costly kidnap Buhari/APC led government ought to have come out forcefully and condemn in the strongest terms in every sense of the word so not to temper with sport – the only thing that has kept the youths happy and forget the troubles this regime has inflicted on them via hunger, killings.

Since the release of Stanley Eguma, a veteran Nigerian coach, no word has come out from the League managers of the governing body Nigeria Football Federation. We have been rejoicing for the safe release of the coach. Where do we go from here? The signal is dangerous and it is capable of stampeding the ongoing NPFL games and others if the usual Sidon look attitude that has long became the lot of Buhari/APC junta like government have not said anything either concrete or non-concrete toward that novel development.

This is the country we are into and the Presidency would readily come out with its rude and always unguided, disrespectful and arrogant statement to poverty ridden citizens as if there is any condition that is permanent. Truth is that sooner than later this Presidency that takes delight in threatening the citizens and acting as if they are above the law would not only become bad history but also would have their places in the refuse dump of history.

Buhari, Garba Shehu, Lai Mohammed, Malami, El-Rufai their numerous agents and collaborators must as a matter of urgency call their boys to order strictly instructing them to steer off sports especially the NPFL and NWFL players and officials as they travel to honour their matches week-in, week-out.

Let the Presidency understand or know that FIFA is keenly watching this ugly development and assault on the game and would not hesitate to wield it heavy hammer on Nigeria if this failed Buhari’s government fail to provide and protect the players and its officials from their bad boys.

Nigeria as signatory to FIFA’s rules and regulations has no other alternative than to ensure the football clubs, players and their officials are safe to and from their weekly NPFL football games and they must not be suffer any kind of kidnap or harassment of any kind on their way home or to the game.

However from whatever angle you may be looking at it from whether you are lover or enemy of the round leather sport or not let the uncivilised incident that Stanley Eguma suffered last week stop forthwith other FIFA would not spare Nigeria.

As we keep being on the forefront of free movement across the country laced with free and unhindered speech in the country, www.dailysportsng.com would continue to keep eye on the ball and will as usual blow the whistle.

Keep shooting hard till next week as the struggle continues!!
