Salisu Yusuf shops for replacement for Akas

By Daily Sports on December 23, 2017

Coach Salisu Yusuf is shopping for replacement for CHAN Eagles skipper and Enyina of Aba star, Chima Akas.

According to SCORENigeria, this move became necessary as Akas has joined the list of players who are pursuing a professional career in Europe.

The paper reported that Akas was conspicuously absent when the home-based Eagles beat non-league side Water FC today at the FIFA Goal Project in Abuja.

“He has been asked to return to the Swedish club he earlier went on trials at,” a team official told SCORENigeria

He had earlier joined the team late as a result of the trials believed to be Kalmar.

Afeez Aremu has already dumped the CHAN Eagles after he signed for Norwegian club IK Start.

Another leftback, new Enyimba signing Nasiru Sani, has been excused from camp due to a long-drawn malaria.

The other leftback in the training camp is Daniel Itodo from Plateau United.
