Crystal Palace Suffer Eze Injury Blow

By Daily sports on May 20, 2021

Crystal Palace have been rocked by a training ground injury to Eberichi Eze.

The Athletic reports Palace have been dealt a huge injury blow with the news that star man Eze is facing the rest of the year on the sidelines after suffering a serious Achilles injury in training.

Eze has lit up the Premier League for Palace this season following his £19.5million move from Queens Park Rangers in the summer, and had even been tipped for a late call-up to Gareth Southgate's extended England squad at the Euros.

But now the 22-year-old is facing a long spell on the sidelines after suffering an injury in training on Tuesday that could rule him out well into next season.

Eze is now set to visit a specialist for scans and further treatment on Wednesday, with surgery likely required to fix the problem.

The news comes as a huge blow to both Eze and Palace, with the club's summer transfer business now likely to be affected. (Tribal Football)
