Nigeria U20 side spanked Katsina United 3-1 in a friendly game in their build up for their African U20 qualifier against Burundi.
Goals from Kelechi Nwakali, Udochukwu Anumudu and Kingsley Michael handed the Flying Eagles a win against the league outfit.
Michael put coach Emmanuel Amuneke’s side ahead after five minutes, pouncing home a through pass from Orji Okonkwo.
Coach Nwakali made it 2-0 in the 52nd minute with a well taken free kick from the edge of the box while the Anumudu got the third after 75th minute.
Katsina United pulled one back courtesy a goalmouth scramble as striker Ibrahim Sule stretched to take the ball beyond the grasp of Akpan Udoh in goal for the Flying Eagles.
Nigeria U20 have now scored 22 goals from six matches and are looking good ahead of the May 22 Caf Under-20 Nations Cup qualifier with Burundi in Bujumbura. (goal.com)
