The General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Dr Daniel Olukoya received the 2016 Lagos State Football Association Cup Champions, MFM Football Club of Lagos on Sunday at the church headquarters in Yaba.

The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side claimed this year’s State F.A trophy with a 4-0 win over Bridge Football Club of Lagos in the final of the Football Association Cup competition to emerge Champions for the first time in the history of the club.

Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu’s men were introduced to the Church during the service yesterday by the G.O as they presented the trophy to the excited congregation. ‎

MFM FC's goalkeeper, James Aiyeyemi lit up the warm reception after he led the rest of the team to recite the clubs popular anthem titled (Yahweh) while members of the Church responded by singing the chorus.

From the headquarters, the Olukoya Boys headed for MFM youth church situated inside the University of Lagos to a warm reception.

Prayers were offered on behalf of the players and management.

MFM FC will depart for Makurdi this Thursday in preparations for Sundays NPFL game against Lobi Stars at the Aper Aku stadium.
