Arsenal have maintained their interest in Houssem Aouar.
The Lyon midfielder was close to joining Arsenal last summer.
But the north London club could only afford to sign Thomas Partey in midfield.
They now want to use the January window to sign a creative midfielder.
However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims Lyon will demand €60m for their French maestro.
The Gunners reportedly have only €20m to spend this month and would have to wait until the summer to get Aouar.
The news comes after Norwich ruled out selling Emiliano Buendia, another of Mikel Arteta's attacking midfield targets.
