Zidane Wants Isco And Marcelo To Stay At Real Madrid

By Daily sports on December 31, 2020

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has declared Marcelo and Isco must stay.

Both players have been linked with a move away in January after struggling for minutes this season.

But Zidane said, “I have all my players. They are Madrid players. I don’t think about whether they want to leave or not, I can't control it. What I can say is that they are very plugged in, they train very well.

“It hurts because they are players who want to play. And they in particular, with what we have lived together. It’s true. They are complicated situations. It is the bad part of the coach. I have to face it, it is my responsibility.

“Every game I have to make the team and that will not change until the last day. They are complicated moments, yes.”

Asked if he’s ever had players demand some teammates be dropped, Zidane added: “No, that doesn’t happen here. I’m the coach and I choose with my people. The players are there and they don’t get involved in these things. What they want, I'm convinced, is to win games.” (Tribal Football)
