Atletico Madrid Earmark Kondogbia As Partey’s Replacement

By Daily sports on October 10, 2020

Geoffrey Kondogbia has reportedly been earmarked as a replacement for Thomas Partey at Atletico Madrid.

According to Cadena SER as reported by AS, the Rojiblancos are considering a move for the Valencia midfielder.

Partey completed a move to English Premier League club Arsenal on Monday after the London club triggered his release clause. The Ghana international made 188 appearances for Atleti during his time at the club.

Lucas Torreira moved in the opposite direction on-loan, but Kondogbia has been identified as a long-term replacement for Partey.

Kondogbia joined Spanish LaLiga rivals Valencia from Inter in 2018. The Central African Republic international has been in good form over the last few seasons and the 27-year-old has started in all of Valencia’s matches in LaLiga this season thus far.

The former Sevilla, Monaco and Lens midfielder was linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur in April. (African Football)
