Two-time African champions,Enyimba are in confident mood ahead of Sunday’s first leg, second round Caf Champions League clash against Tunisian side Etoile du Sahel.
The seven-time Nigerian champions will take on the Diables Rouges (Red Devils) at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt on Sunday and the head coach of the People’s Elephant, Paul Aigbogun, says his charges are prepared for the task at hand.
Aigbogun insists there is no need to panic as his side is well prepared for the fixture.
“We have known about this game (against Etoile) for a while and we have been preparing for it.
“We will be ready on Sunday,” he told supersport.com.
The trainer also took the time to discuss the strengths of the opposition and how they will neutralise them.
“They have some very good players but that will not be a problem.
“It was easy to get information about Etoile compared to the other sides we met in the previous rounds of the competition.
“We have our game plan and they should be the ones getting worried about us and not the other way round.
“We do not have any injury concerns and none of our players are suspended so we have a complete squad.
“Playing the second leg away from home is also not a problem as we did that in the first round (against Burundian champions Vital ‘O) and still qualified
“We will try to take advantage by putting them under pressure in the first leg and putting them under pressure at home,” he said.
The second leg of the contest comes up on the weekend of April 18-19 at the 25 000 capacity Stade Olympique de Sousse in Sousse. (supesports.com)
