Real Madrid Coach Zidane: I Don’t Know When Hazard Will Be Ready

By Daily sports on September 21, 2020

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane won’t seek to select Eden Hazard until he’s fully fit.

Injuries severely disrupted his 2019/20 season, yet on the eve of the new campaign, Zidane won’t select the Belgian until he is confident he has fully recovered his fitness, reports Marca.

“I can’t say when he can return, the only thing that matters is that he’s recovered,” Zidane explained during Saturday's pre-match press conference.

“The most important thing is how he is feeling and that he is 100 percent.

“We have time because we're starting a new season.”

Zidane has taken a backseat with regard to the Hazard situation at present, instead preferring to leave the matter in the hands of the club’s medical department until the player is fully fit.

For all intents and purposes, Zidane isn’t looking at Hazard as an option for his team until he is fully fit, and this is not a question of deadlines or how many training sessions he can complete but merely when he is considered to be healed. (Tribal Football)
