Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has hinted at which clubs can afford to sign Kalidou Koulibaly.
The Senegal international has been heavily linked with a move away from the club and when asked about the defender’s future in Naples, De Laurentiis directed the question to those he seemingly believes can afford the 29-year-old.
“You should ask Manchester United, City or PSG this question,” he said as quoted by Goal. “In other words, those who can afford to pay certain amounts.”
Napoli reportedly value Koulibaly at £81 million and last week it was reported that Manchester City aren’t willing to offer more than £63 million for the towering defender.
Koulibaly was heavily linked with a move to United last year, but a move failed to materialise. He joined Napoli from KRC Genk six years ago. In his time at Stadio San Paolo, he has established himself as one of the world’s best defenders.
In total, he has scored 10 goals in 246 appearances for Napoli. (African Football)
