Osimhen has set his target at new club Napoli – to make history with the Italian club just as great players like Diego Maradona did.
Against all odds, Maradona inspired Napoli to two Italian championships, in the 1986/87 and 1989/90 seasons, to post their most successful era.
“I am proud to join a club, who have seen great players like Maradona, Higuain and Cavani,” he said in an interview.
“I also want to go into the club’s history.
“I want to have a good Serie A and also help the club in the Europa League.”
Osimhen, 21, reportedly cost Napoli a record 81 million Euros including bonuses to make him the most expensive African Player.
He signed a five-year contract with option for an additional year. (VON)
