Egypt names 23-man squad for AFCON double-header against Nigeria

Egypt have announced a sturdy 23-man team to face Nigeria in the double-header Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Coach Hector Cuper’s squad is made up of five foreign based players and 18 local based professionals [Nine players from Zamalek and Al Ahly each] with AS Roma’s Mohammed Salah leading the pack.

The first leg holds on March 25 at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium with Alexandria staging the return leg four days later.

The north Africans lead Group G with six points from two games while Nigeria is second with four points from same number of games.
