Arsenal are to send Dani Ceballos back to parent club Real Madrid at the end of this season.
The Real Madrid midfielder arrived at the Emirates during Unai Emery’s ill-fated reign and was immediately handed Aaron Ramsey’s vacated number eight jersey.
But things haven’t gone to plan for the Spain international, who completed just three 90-minute Premier League appearances for the Gunners.
El Confidencial reports Arsenal have decided not to make his stay permanent or re-loan the Spaniard with the player opting to return to Spain and fight for his position under Zinedine Zidane.
Ceballos has also been linked with a return to Real Betis next season. (Tribal Football)
