Barcelona have reportedly made contact with Ajax Amsterdam about the availability of goalkeeper Andre Onana.
According to De Telegraaf, the Catalan giants are eager to sign the Cameroon international as competition for current No. 1 Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
Furthermore, the report states that Barcelona are willing to part with either Neto, Riqui Puig, Alex Collado or Carles Alena to make the deal happen.
Marc Overmars, who played for Barcelona and is currently the director of football at Ajax, is reportedly keen to hold onto the 24-year-old shot stopper for a few more years.
Onana has kept 74 clean sheets in 178 appearances for Ajax Amsterdam, playing a crucial role in their league and cup double last season.
The burly goalkeeper came through the ranks at Barcelona where he played for the club’s Under-19’s before moving to Amsterdam in 2015.
Ajax have already sold Hakim Ziyech to Chelsea with the Morocco international to join the London club at the end of the 2019-20 season. (African Football)
