Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has spoken to Napoli’s Bosman prospect Dries Mertens about a move to London.
Lampard has held transfer talks with Mertens, according to Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio.
The 32-year-old was a target for the Blues in January but a deal failed to materialise.
He is out of contract at the end of the season so could be winging his way to Stamford Bridge on a free transfer.
Napoli have been attempting to extend his deal but attempts so far have not yielded a positive outcome. (Tribal Football)
