Mane Unhappy With Klopp Following Ballon d’Or Snub

By Daily Sports on April 23, 2020

Sadio Mane has reportedly opened the door for Real Madrid about a possible move to the Spanish giants in the near future.

According to France Football, the Senegal international is unhappy with Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp after the Reds coach publicly backed teammate Virgil van Dijk for the 2019 Ballon d’Or.

Mane finished fourth in the voting behind winner Lionel Messi, Van Dijk and Cristiano Ronaldo, but above Liverpool attacker and fellow African Mohamed Salah.

The 28-year-old was hoping to become only the second African to win the Ballon d’Or after George Weah, having played an instrumental role in Liverpool’s run to UEFA Champions League glory last season.

Los Blancos have been heavily linked with a move for the £150million rated winger with head coach Zinedine Zidane said to be a huge admirer of Mane and the latest reports will come as a huge boost in their pursuit of the Senegalese star.

Mane has scored 18 goals in 38 appearances across all competitions this season. (France Football)
