English Premier League club Arsenal could’ve signed Victor Osimhen for just £3 million.

According to football.london, the Gunners were one of the teams interested in signing Osimhen as an 18-year-old.

Osimhen, who top scored with a whopping 10 goals as Nigeria clinched the 2015 FIFA U17 Men’s World Cup, eventually decided to join Wolfsburg in January 2017 but failed to score in 16 appearances for the German Bundesliga club.

He joined RSC Charleroi initially on-loan in 2018 before completing a permanent move to to the club a year later, but French club Lille came knocking before his second season in Belgium.

Osimhen signed 20 goals in 36 appearances for Charleroi and he was able to transfer his scoring steak over to the French Ligue 1.

The now 21-year-old has scored 18 goals in 38 appearances across all competitions this season and his continues rise has not gone unnoticed.

Osimhen has reportedly attracted interest from several English Premier League and LaLiga clubs over the last few months, including Arsenal who’d have to fork out considerably more than £3 million if they want to bring him to the Emirates at the end of the season. (African Football)
