Algeria international Ismael Bennacer is looking forward to scoring his first AC Milan goal at the San Siro Stadium.
The central midfielder has established himself as a regular at Milan having joined the club from fellow Italian side Empoli last August.
Bennacer, who was named Player of the Tournament at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals, has reflected on his first eight months with the club.
“Wearing the Milan shirt is an incredible feeling,” Bennacer told Football Italia.
“It’s enough for me to see the badge of the Champions Leagues won on our shirt sleeves.
“I can’t wait to score at San Siro. I think I’d celebrate [my first goal] under the Curva Sud,” he added.
“I fell in love with Milan for the team, the club, the players who have been there in the past and those who are still there.”
The 22-year-old player has made 23 appearances across all competitions for Milan and he is yet to score for the team.
Bennacer is looking to improve his career as soon as the 2019/20 Serie A season resumes having been suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak.
“I still have to improve in the recovery phase and in passing between the lines, but above all I have to be more decisive,” he added. (African Football)
